Immunohistochemistry

Lectins have been used for a variety of studies in immunohistochemistry to detect specific glycosylation of proteins. HRP-conjugated lectins are often used in the histopathology area, particularly in the analysis of the gastric mucosa profile. Interactions of mannose-binding lectins are used in HIV I type virus opsonization.
