Artocarpus integrifolia Lectin (AIA) - FITC (Fluorescein)

Price: Regular price $124.20
Product Description
Artocarpus integrifolia Lectin (AIA) is purified by affinity chromatography and features a tetrameric two-chain structure composed of four identical protomers, with an isoelectric point of pH 7.8. This lectin specifically recognizes blood group types O (+SA) and T and is classified as a galactose-specific lectin, eluting with either galactose or melibiose. A post-translational proteolytic modification creates a novel carbohydrate-binding site at the N terminus of the α-chain, enhancing its specificity for the T-antigen disaccharide Galß1,3GalNAc. Potent inhibitors include D-galactose, β-Met-Gal, and 2-deoxy-α-D-galactose.
AIA is conjugated with fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), providing optimal staining characteristics for various immunohistochemical and flow cytometry applications. This product is available in a stabilized liquid form.
Recommended Usage: Recommended dilutions 0.5 – 10 µg / ml in 1XPBS. Less than 0.5 µg / ml will agglutinate human or rabbit erythrocytes.
