Vicia villosa Lectin (VVL/VVA) - Pure
Price: Regular price $111.00
Product Description
Affinity-purified Vicia villosa lectin (VVL/VVA) is a tetramer composed of four subunits, including A and B subunits, with a dominant isolectin that is rich in B subunits. The A4 isolectin specifically agglutinates A1 erythrocytes, while the B4 isolectin does not agglutinate A, B, or O erythrocytes but binds to the Tn antigen, which is expressed on the surface of most tumor cells. A2B2 and similar tetramer isolectins exhibit characteristics of both A4 and B4 isolectins.
Recommended Usage: Recommended dilutions of 0.5 – 10 μg/ml in 1X PBS. More than 250 µg/ml is usually required to agglutinate type A1 cells. Less than 1 µg/ml will agglutinate neuraminidase treated cells.
